Miller's earned both her B.S.B.A. with a major in Finance, and an M.B.A. from the Eller School of Management at the University of Arizona. This combination of professional and academic success contributes to Miller's outstanding ability to safeguard the taxpayers' rights and resources, and to promoting a transparent and accountable government. Ally can often be heard on local talk radio shows and regularly meets with residents and neighborhood associations to inform the public, and present solutions to issues we face in the community.
Ally was born and raised in Vermont and has lived in Tucson since 1981. She is married to Jeffrey Miller, a Director for Raytheon Missile Systems.
Ally enjoys spending time with her family and precious canines, Bella and Rocky. She especially treasures spending time in the great outdoors when she gets the opportunity for early morning walks, bike riding, hiking, and reading a good book.
Miller was also a member of the engineering audit team for government audits and participated in the implementation team which integrated the Total Quality (TQ)Management philosophy for the company. Miller's TQ Team won the AlliedSignal corporate award for the development of a knowledge management database. Prior to working at AlliedSignal, Miller worked for the Intel Corporation as a Systems Engineer analyzing data trends for testing and process improvement.
About Supervisor Ally Miller, MBA
Supervisor Ally Miller began serving her 2nd term as the Pima County District 1 Supervisor in January 2017. Miller was first elected in November 2012, and has a track record as an advocate for transparency and accountability.
Prior to serving as an elected official, Miller worked locally in the aerospace industry for AlliedSignal Aerospace. Her experience there focused on proposal and contract negotiation for both military and commercial contracts. Miller subsequently worked in engineering as the System Administrator for the Engineering Program Management System and provided financial analysis for engineering programs.
